Privacy Policy
Last updated: 8 July 2026
This policy explains what personal information amply Pty Ltd
("amply", "we", "us") collects through the amply Advice Assistant
web application (app.amplyadvice.com.au), how we use
and protect it, and the choices you have. amply is a technology
provider — we do not hold an Australian Financial Services Licence
and do not provide financial advice ourselves.
Who this policy covers
amply is a tool used by financial advisers and their licensees. This policy covers information about advisers who use the platform and information advisers enter about their clients while using it. If you are a client whose adviser uses amply, your adviser (not amply) is responsible for how your personal information is collected and disclosed to us, and remains your primary point of contact for privacy questions.
What we collect
We collect the following categories of personal information:
- Adviser account information — name, email address, authentication details, licensee/AFSL details you provide, product preferences, and billing status.
- Client information you enter — financial fact-find data, documents you upload, chat conversations with the assistant, and the reports, projections, and scenarios generated from them. This information is entered and controlled by your adviser.
- Calendar information — if you choose to connect Google Calendar in Settings, we access meeting titles, times, locations, and attendee email addresses so we can show upcoming client meetings and, if you enable it, book follow-ups on your behalf.
- Technical information — standard server logs and security signals (e.g. rate-limiting data) needed to operate and protect the service.
We do not use third-party advertising or web analytics trackers in the application, and we do not collect information for advertising purposes.
How we use it
We use personal information to:
- provide, operate, and secure the platform;
- generate the AI-assisted outputs you request (chat responses, fact-find extraction, projections, and reports);
- process subscription billing;
- maintain and improve the platform's functionality and the accuracy of its AI features; and
- respond to support requests.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.
Where information is stored and processed
Data is primarily stored and processed in Google Cloud and Firebase infrastructure located in Sydney, Australia. Some features rely on third-party services (listed below) that may process a limited amount of data outside Australia in order to deliver that specific feature.
Third parties we use (sub-processors)
| Provider | Purpose | Region |
|---|---|---|
| Google Cloud / Firebase | Authentication, database, file storage, hosting | Australia |
| Google Vertex AI (Gemini) | AI chat, fact-find extraction, report generation | Australia |
| Anthropic (Claude) | AI features, when selected as a model option | May process outside Australia |
| Stripe | Subscription billing and payment processing | Global |
| Deepgram | Voice-to-text transcription (audio is not retained by amply) | United States |
| Google Calendar API | Calendar sync, when you connect it in Settings | Global |
| Google Document AI | Document text extraction (OCR), where configured | Australia |
Alpha period notice
amply is currently in a pre-release alpha phase. Data retention, backups, and availability are not guaranteed during this period. Advisers should avoid entering real client information they are not authorised to store with a third-party technology provider, and should prefer synthetic or anonymised test data where practical.
Security
Information is encrypted in transit. Sensitive credentials, such as Google Calendar refresh tokens, are encrypted at rest. Access to production data is restricted to authorised personnel. amply does not store payment card details — these are handled directly by Stripe.
Your rights
Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you, and you may opt out of your data being used to improve the platform. To make a request, contact us at support@amplyadvice.com. We aim to respond within 30 days.

We use only essential cookies and browser storage required for signing in and maintaining your session. We do not use cookies for advertising or cross-site tracking.
